ANCIENT HISTORY: EGYPT
-Egypt is a hot country in North
Africa.
-They lived near a river called
River Nile.
-Egyptian kings were called pharaohs..
The pharaoh was the most
important person in the country. He wore crowns.
-They built pyramids and temples.
-They invented hieroglyphic writing.
-When an important person died,
they wrapped their body in bandages. They made a mummy.
-The most famous pharaoh was Tutankhamun.
His tomb was discovered in 1922.
It contained a huge treasure.

PREHISTORY
This is the oldest period. People lived in caves.
They hunted
animals, fished in the rivers and
collected plants and fruit to eat.
They wore animal
skins.
They made tools with stones and animal bones.
They painted
animals and hunting scenes in the caves.
They learned to use
fire.
In Spain ,
there are cave paintings in Altamira
(Santander ) and Atapuerca (Burgos ).
